G E White & sons has its roots in farm buildings, from planning and erecting large grain stores to refurbishing implement sheds and repairing leaky roofs. While the company can design, build and fit out the largest of new buildings, the company is equally happy to carry out repairs and other smaller projects. Fruit stores, granaries, livestock buildings and groundworks are just some of the tasks the company is experienced in tackling.
Great contacts with other suppliers, including bespoke joiners and electricians, makes the company a real ‘one stop shop’ for the complete steel-framed building package.
CASE STUDY: HAY STORE FOR LORD RUFUS ALBEMARLE
The 26m by 24m hay store with 6m lean-to extension built for Lord Rufus Albemarle
at Hurst Barns Farm, East Chiltington, features custom cut Yorkshire boarding that allows flexible access from all sides of the building. The galvanised steel barn has a fibre cement roof designed to take solar PV panels at some point in the future.
